According to a PC Advisor poll, the Nokia Lumia 920 is the phone most people would choose if money was no object. The flagship Windows Phone 8 handset proved most popular with the 28,750 respondents who were asked “If you could have one smartphone, regardless of price and contract, which of the following would you choose?”

Almost one third (32%) of respondents said that they would choose the Nokia Lumia 920, and it is easy to see why. The phone has a fantastic screen and camera, and is packed with a range of impressive features. It syncs seamlessly with other devices, particularly useful for business users who frequently switch between their desktop PCs or laptops and their mobile phone whilst on the move. It also provides the perfect platform for Office 365, allowing you to create, sync, edit and share documents and emails whilst on the move.

Although adoption of the Windows Phone 8 platform has been slower than to some other operating systems, those who make the switch do tend to love the platform with its customisable ‘Live Tiles’ and excellent performance capabilities. Windows 8 doesn’t enjoy as vast an app selection as some other operating systems, however it is constantly expanding and certainly does not detract from the innovation seen in the Nokia Lumia 920.

Second in the poll was the Sony Xperia Z, chosen by 24% of respondents. Its rugged capabilities (the phone is extremely hard-wearing, splash-proof and dustproof) are disguised by its sleek exterior. Coupled with a high-quality screen, a great camera and impressive performance capabilities, this is another handset that challenges the popular iPhone 5, which came third in the poll with 18% of the votes.
