Staff members at Comm-Tech donned their favourite jeans on Friday to raise funds for the Jeans for Genes – a charity that supports children with genetic disorders. Everyone who took part donated some money, and in total the event raised £47.
Jeans for Genes is an annual UK fundraising event that raises important funds to help children that have been diagnosed with genetic disorders such as Brittle Bone Disease, Spinal Muscular Atrophy and Sickle Cell Anaemia. The Jeans for Genes charity says that there are more than 4500 recognised genetic conditions, but there are many more being discovered.
Comm-Tech supports various different charities by taking part in events, and the team plans to join in the Wear it Pink Day to raise funds for Breast Cancer Campaign on Friday 29th October.
